Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

Review: 3.5/5

About The Movie:

Mohan Sharma's search for true love goes haywire when every attempt to marry Saniya Mirza ends with him accidentally marrying someone else. In a string of comic twists, he ends up with three wives from three different faiths Hindu, Muslim, and Christian; struggles to balance their expectations while keeping his triple life a secret.

Just when he thinks he has adjusted to the chaos, Saniya returns as Simran, a Sikh woman, forcing Mohan to confront the mess he created. Now he must untangle his marriages and prove his love to Simran before his world collapses again.

Critics Review :STORY & WRITING:
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 delivers an entertaining ride from start to finish. Anukalp Goswami packs the screenplay with ample humour, and most of the comic beats land well. The writing, while fun, could have benefitted from tighter detailing in a few places. The dialogues do the heavy lifting — especially the religion-based jokes which are cleverly written, harmless, and likely to be widely appreciated.

DIRECTION:
Anukalp Goswami’s direction is uncomplicated and effective. Despite the protagonist’s tangled personal life, the narrative never becomes confusing. The entire “three marriages” arc is handled confidently and feels convincing within the film’s playful tone. The pacing is crisp, the runtime controlled, and the film wraps with a sweet, satisfying finale.

On the downside, even for a ‘switch-off-your-brain’ type comedy, some things feel odd. Sania disappears for days but her parents don’t seem bothered, happily fussing over Mohan/Mehboob and Ruhi instead. The first film at least justified the hero’s multiple absences from home; the sequel makes no such effort. None of the wives ever question his long disappearances. The music is another weak spot — the songs disrupt the flow instead of enhancing it.

PERFORMANCES:
Kapil Sharma shines — as expected — and carries the film effortlessly. Manjit Singh delivers excellent comic support and elevates the chaos. Among the leading ladies, Tridha Choudhary gets the most screen presence and makes a solid impact. Hira Warina, Parul Gulati and Ayesha Khan perform well within their parts.

Sushant Singh fits his role perfectly. Vipin Sharma and Akhilendra Mishra add weight whenever they appear. Smita Jayakar and Garima Kaushal have limited scope. Child actor Aarav Jain is adorable. Jamie Lever and Jimmy Moses bring big laughs. Shrikant Verma is impressive as the PT teacher. Anil Charanjeett is fine, while Yashpal Sharma’s bit could have been funnier. The late Asrani charms as Father Anthony, and Ginni Kapil Sharma’s cameo is pleasant.

MUSIC & TECHNICALS:
The soundtrack doesn’t leave much of an impression. Phurrr stands out slightly, but other songs like Ranjhe Nu Heer and Har Safar Mein fall flat. Aaja Hulchul Karenge is catchy but feels forcefully inserted.

The background score by Parikshit Sharma and Nishadh Chandra works well with the film’s mood.
Ravi Yadav’s cinematography is decent. Production design is visually loud at times but suits the film’s comic universe. Costumes by Ginni Kapil Sharma and Naahid Shah feel true to character. Action is serviceable. Hussain A Burmawala’s editing keeps the film snappy, though trimming the songs would have improved the overall flow.

CONCLUSION:
Overall, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is a breezy, massy comedy that recalls the madness of 90s slapstick entertainers. It doesn’t aim to be pathbreaking, and yes, it has its share of flaws — but the humour mostly hits the mark. Kapil Sharma is in terrific form, and the clean family-friendly tone gives the film a distinct charm.
